Gettin'
Finally getting around to getting it done! New posts coming up all the time, thanks to the BRAND NEW camera! :) LOVE IT!
Anyway, check them out, and keep looking because, like I said, more up all the time, especially when the kids actually nap...

Ooops. Slightly relocated. And picture-less.
Howdy, my two faithful followers! That is, if you're still following. I apologize that zero has been done in the last few months but I've moved. Across the country. I was a little busy, but I have found my very newest FAVORITEST store (probably owing to the fact that it is ridiculously close to my new house): Hobby Lobby. Yes, it rhymes. And no, I didn't have it in Utah, which is why it's so awe-inspiringly awesome. Here's why:
Katie got the makings for two new headbands (plus four flowers to go on the headbands that, amazingly enough, are also cute enough for me to wear) for less than $5. Yep. I'm in love. And it's funny, too, because between yesterday and today (I only made them yesterday), I've had three separate comments on how darling the headbands are. More comments than that on my daughter, of course, but hey! :) Just kidding, folks. I don't think I've ever had that kind of reaction to anything I've made without kind of hinting for something like that from my nearest and dearest friends, so that gave me hope! :) I'd take pictures, but, unfortunately the camera I used for all of my previous postings on etsy (because heavens knows I haven't posted many pictures here!) is still in Utah with my dear, dear friend. Because it's hers. Bethie, I miss you terribly, but not because of the camera! :(
Anyway, because of that, I'm trying to convince my husband (not too hard because we now have no income due to him going to chiropractic school) that I need a new camera, specifically a Canon. Powershot 12.1 Megapixel Digital camera, to be exact. I told him it could be for our anniversary, Mother's Day, my birthday, Christmas, etc., for the next 10 years, but I don't know how well that went over... :) We'll see what I work up. Hopefully I will meet someone as awesome as Bethie who also has an awesome camera that I can shamelessly use for my own personal gain, but until then, .... uh.... I don't know. Anyone have an awesome camera?
Back to my story. Katie's headbands are awesome, and completely darling. I can't wait to start giving them away as baby shower presents!
Also, and I wish I had pictures on this computer, but I'm too lazy to go down into my freezing basement, I am going to be adding a section to my etsy shop where you can order customized letters for your walls. I have them for my children, and I've made them for friends of mine. They are completely up to you, as long as you understand I can't paint the Mona Lisa. You choose the colors, pattern (i.e. I chose elements from one of my favorite outfits on my son for his name, and my dauther's name is done in colors of another of my favorite outfits on her), whatever, and I paint 'em up and send 'em to you. I'll put pictures up once I get them!
Well, that's it for now. Here's to finding photography solutions and getting my etsy shop set up again. Goodnight, void!

What's in a name?
Alright, so I have to post this mostly just for myself, but for anyone else out there who is confused.
You pronounce it "bees and sereeez" Repeat that three times.
I don't know why we didn't choose a more pronounceable name, at least for my. My co-collaborater (who just had a darling baby boy, btw!!! yay!!!) speaks French. I don't. So I sit here and call it "etsy" which is in no way the actual name for my shop. I should start to say it right. It means "kisses and cherries," and since I suppose I need to have an awesome story for having that as a name, here goes.
I have a cherry tree in my back yard which, year in and year out, produces millions of cherries, I'm pretty sure. They are gorgeous, and absolutely tasty, but two harvests ago, about half of our picked cherries went bad. I was the lucky parent who got to go through four boxes of half-bad cherries, picking out the rotten ones. Oh, and I was 8 months pregnant. So I sat at the counter with my feet swelling off my legs and my stomach lurching (pregnant ladies, is this not true? Smell is twice as powerful a sense when you're expecting) and swatting fruit flies from my arms. Ew, I tell you what. But, I finally finished the job, and, amazingly, actually helped pick cherries this year, despite my vow that I'd never look at one again. So I guess that's the tie to cherries, and we'll say the kisses come from cute kids who've been eating the cherries or something.
But really, here's the reason for the name. The name was chosen because it was cute. Because it is, and if anyone has a problem with it, tough.

I'm baaaack....
Oy. It has been a long time, and I realize that while it seems like I'm inactive in the blogging world, I am still alive. And mostly well. :)
The wisdom tooth thing went well, although right after, my 14-month old daughter got a weird stomach bug, so I spent three weeks changing sick-o diapers and doing laundry. And I am super lazy, apparently, because I never post pictures of new things that I'm making. Sheesh! I should be fired.
Anyway, so I am starting to sell earrings and other jewelry, too. I keep having to tell myself that it's not for me, it's to sell, but I sometimes have a hard time believing myself. Needless to say, everything I make is something I would wear. So there.
Pictures hopefully soon!

More!
I am slowly but surely putting up everything I have so far, but I don't think I'll get it all done before...
I GET MY WISDOM TEETH OUT.
yowch. Yes, that is a word. I'm getting them out tomorrow, so I won't be doing much (not that me doing anything has actually changed the outcome on etsy... oh, well.) Anyway, I'm participating in a study, so I am actually getting paid to get my teeth out, and most of that will, I am sure, end up paying for more supplies. If anyone has any suggestions, feel free to comment.
I want to know if you think it would be beneficial to have a video of these things on the purses so you can see what they look like in action? All two of you... :) Let me know!

It's UP!!!
Check it out!
I'm so excited for this!!! I know I haven't put up more than just three, but really, I have some laundry that I have to do. Now that I have the hang of posting things, there will be more up probably tonight (I hope!)
That's all, folks!!!
